Viewers are available on PCs and other devices. Most viewers have features to enhance your viewing. Of course they let you advance to the next picture or go back to the previous one. They also let you zoom in (or zoom out) on a picture, rotate a picture (occasionally you forget to do this when editing the pictures) and edit the picture.

The slideshow feature (auto-advance) helps, especially when you are in a situation where you are not there to control the show. I was at a birthday party at a catering hall. I had made a presentation for (of) the guest of honor. With a small flat screen TV and a laptop I was able to show the slides (pictures) without controlling them. Of course, PowerPoint slideshows can be run manually or automatically. If you have organized your folders properly and named your files properly, your slideshow should flow smoothly.

When (and if) you read the section on “Presentations” you may ask yourself, “why go to all that work when I can create picture files with text, insets and pointers on them?” There is a reason. Sure, you can do all those things to a picture file using a photo editor. If you do something wrong, you can even undo it. But once the file is saved and the photo editor program closed, that’s it! You can’t undo your changes. You have to change it again. It’s like touching up a painting. Once the paint dries, that’s it.
